At Aarja Health, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. We actively work to reduce our impact on nature by following laws and regulations that protect the environment, such as the Waste Act.
We focus on conserving natural resources, preserving biodiversity, and reducing emissions and waste. At the same time, we daily assess how we can improve, to ensure that both people and the environment get the best.
We take environmental responsibility seriously throughout the entire production process. Already in the planning phase of new products, we consider environmental impact, and sustainable solutions are integrated from start to finish. We carefully select suppliers who deliver clean, documented ingredients, and we ensure that sustainability principles are respected throughout. To reduce carbon emissions, we prioritize ingredients from the local area, and our Finnish factory gives us a unique advantage. 65% of Finnish forests are sustainably certified, and we harvest natural, Nordic ingredients such as blueberries, lingonberries, sea buckthorn, chaga and pine bark directly from this rich ecosystem.
We follow strict waste management guidelines, ensuring that all waste is properly sorted – including paper, cardboard, plastic and metal for recycling. In addition, we have conducted an energy audit of our property, and we are implementing the recommended measures from the Energy Inspectorate to reduce energy consumption. Our goal is to make a positive difference for both the environment and society.
We have chosen PET packaging, made through a thorough recycling process, to reduce our environmental footprint. PET plastic is one of the most recyclable materials and can be reused over and over again.
When our PET bottles are discarded, they are collected, sorted, cleaned and melted down into new products as the reception facilities in the EU are designed for. This circular process saves valuable resources and reduces plastic waste. By using recycled PET, we contribute to a more sustainable future and a greener environment.
Our labels are made of 100% paper and the adhesive is rubber-based.
All boxes are made of paper. Our paper is made from trees which are natural, renewable, sustainable and 100% recyclable. Our packaging bags consist of an aluminium foil with a matte finish. Aluminium can be recycled indefinitely and is 100% recyclable.
All orders placed through Shopify are delivered in a brown cardboard box with brown paper padding. Other attachments, such as packing slips, are also made of paper. No plastic is used in shipping boxes, fillings, or inserts. Large shipping boxes are made of paper and do not contain plastic fillings. For deliveries to end customers from our warehouse, we use Bring, which has an overall environmental goal approved by SBTi (Science Based Target initiative) and is in line with the Paris Agreement.
